KLEIN KAROO CAMINO VIDEOS
A video depicts our activities in the most beautiful way. Take a look at the exciting moments captured on short videos.
The story of the Klein Karoo is intertwined with the ostrich industry. The recorded story of "white gold" as white ostrich feathers were known in the 19th century begins near the De Hoop church building, 12km west of Oudtshoorn. Ockie Cloete and Okkie Fourie linked the fortunes of the feather industry, De Hoop, and Covid19. De Hoop is symbolic of a devastated community that rose again despite severe hardship.
180 MINUTES FOR HOPE
On the plains of De Hoop, a concert was held
in the historic sandstone church of the De Hoop congregation. The original
congregation members were not there, the last minister may have been forgotten,
but the message of Hope was brought.
Here the name “Camino
of the Sandstone Churches” was first mentioned - by the mayor of the Greater
Oudtshoorn and De Rust municipality, Councillor Chris Macpherson.
The recordings of the concert were kindly made and distributed by Heartbeat TV.
Experience the concert by clicking on the video links below.
Camino of the Sandstone Churches

the first guests of the Klein Karoo Camino arrived for a guided bus tour of the
Sandstone Churches Route.
The tour took place
over 5 days and 4 nights and all costs were included. Our guests travel also by

Seeds of Inspiration, in action is an experience that will stay with the Klein
Karoo Camino for a long time. Lynette added great value to the guests'
experience with her extensive expertise. This was Lynette's first visit to the
Klein Karoo.
The audience
thoroughly enjoyed her performance at Wesbank Primary School with the theme 'A
Life in Full Colour'.
Please watch the video from day four of the visit.
